A new study performed at Georgetown University Medical Center demonstrates the ability of AstaREAL astaxanthin to significantly lower systolic blood pressure in Zucker Fatty Rats.

Tests suggested that the Renin-Angiotensin System was involved in the ability of astaxanthin to lower blood pressure. Also, at higher dosage levels it was shown that astaxanthin influenced circulating TNF-α and MCP-1, and lessened fat oxidation in the liver and kidneys—indicating that astaxanthin may help reduce stress. Fuji Chemical Industry, makers of AstaREAL astaxanthin, sponsored the study. For further information: www.fcihealthscience.com
